This Substitute Teaching plan is straightforward:
1.) Print off enough copies of the handout for all students
2.) Take attendance

4.) Students answer the questions while the video goes. They’re graded for getting the questions correct. It’s due at the end of the class period.

- What type of aircraft innovation helped improve bombing accuracy?
- What was one example of a “secret weapon” mentioned in the documentary?

Answer Key
- Germany (Nazi Germany) (also Britain and the U.S. later in the film)

Final Note: I made any handout from a sub day a quiz grade so that students didn’t blow off the work, and so they would not give the sub a hard time. You can consider changing the questions or giving three questions at a time in different handouts to prevent cheating.
